According to Hussain, The TAKEOVER is \u201can annual pop-up exhibition\u201d, hosted by the Arts Centre every spring featuring the work of students studying interdisciplinary practice with the University\u2019s School of Art. Visitors can expect works in the exhibition to include \u201ceverything from performance and sound to <\/span>installation, sculpture and animation\u201d. Visitor tours of the exhibition will be led by Miranda Whall, a class tutor from the School of Art. Other activities taking place will include poetry readings, while multiple artist-led workshops are \u201cbeing considered\u201d to run concurrently with the exhibition. Children\u2019s activities will also be available at the event. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n The works on display at the exhibition are\nunited by a common theme, and the theme of each year\u2019s TAKEOVER is unique.\nHussain describes the themes around which projects are based as \u201cconnecting the\nwhole exhibition together\u201d, with each year\u2019s theme being \u201cthe main difference\u201d\nbetween editions of the exhibition. The theme of this year\u2019s exhibition is \u201ctime\u201d,\nwhile last year\u2019s event featured projects connected by the theme of \u201chome\u201d.<\/span> On organisers\u2019 intentions in running the exhibition,\nHussain states that \u201cthe main aim\u201d is \u201cto get more art related events in Aber\nand get the community together\u201d.
